1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AlJusernet platform (the “Platform”), available at aljusernet.com, including its website and related services, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. About the Platform

AlJusernet is a digital legal-services platform operated in Algeria. The project has been awarded the “Innovative Project” label under Algeria’s Startup Act framework (Executive Decree No. 20-254), following evaluation by the National Startup Labeling Committee (Comité National de Labellisation) under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, through the national Startup.dz program.

AlJusernet is designed to connect individuals and businesses (“Clients”) with independent legal professionals, including lawyers, notaries, bailiffs (huissiers de justice), and sworn translators (“Professionals”), and to provide educational and informational resources.

The Platform may include a legal-English e-learning hub, an international affairs section for the Algerian diaspora, a library of legal resources, professional listings, appointment-booking functionality, and an AI-assisted legal-orientation tool, as and when these features become available.

AlJusernet operates as a technology intermediary. It is not a law firm, does not employ or supervise independent Professionals, and does not itself provide legal advice, legal representation, notarial services, or bailiff services.

3. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

“Platform” means the AlJusernet website and related services and features made available by AlJusernet.

“User” means any individual or legal entity accessing or using the Platform.

“Client” means a User seeking legal services, information, educational content, or other resources through the Platform.

“Professional” means an independent lawyer, notary, bailiff, sworn translator, or other legal-sector professional who is registered or may be listed on the Platform.

“Content” means text, data, graphics, logos, software, documents, educational materials, and other material made available on or through the Platform.

“AI-Assisted Tool” means any artificial-intelligence-based feature made available through the Platform for general legal information or orientation.

4. Eligibility

Use of the Platform is restricted to individuals who have reached the age of legal majority under applicable Algerian law, or to legal entities acting through an authorized representative.

Professionals using the Platform must hold valid and current professional credentials required by the competent Algerian authority for their profession.

By using the Platform, you represent that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

5. Account Registration and Security

Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and must keep their login credentials confidential.

Users are responsible for activity occurring under their account and must notify AlJusernet promptly of any unauthorized use of their account or suspected security breach.

AlJusernet reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts containing inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information.

6. Description of Services

The Platform provides access to the services and features made available by AlJusernet from time to time.

Depending on availability and deployment, these services may include professional listings, contact and appointment-booking functionality, legal-English educational content, international-affairs resources, legal resources, and an AI-assisted legal-orientation tool.

The availability of specific features may vary. AlJusernet reserves the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time.

AI-Assisted Legal Orientation

Where available, the Platform may provide an AI-assisted tool designed to provide general legal information and orientation.

AI-generated responses are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or a professional legal opinion.

AI-generated information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular situation. Users should not rely solely on AI-generated information when making legal, financial, or other significant decisions and should consult a qualified legal professional where appropriate.

AlJusernet does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated responses.

7. Professional Listings, Verification, and Disclaimer

Where Professionals are listed on the Platform, AlJusernet may take reasonable steps to verify professional credentials submitted by Professionals before or during the listing process, including checking relevant professional bodies or official registries where such verification is available.

However:

  • Verification does not constitute a guarantee, certification, endorsement, or recommendation of any Professional or their services.
  • AlJusernet does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality, availability, or outcome of any advice, service, or work performed by a Professional.
  • AlJusernet does not supervise or control the professional relationship between a Client and a Professional.
  • Any legal relationship formed for the provision of legal services, including a mandate, representation, or consultation, exists solely between the Client and the Professional. AlJusernet is not a party to that relationship.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AlJusernet is not responsible for any act, omission, error, negligence, misconduct, or professional decision of a Professional.

Where applicable, Users are encouraged to independently verify a Professional’s current professional status with the relevant professional order, chamber, ministry, or competent authority.

Clients should exercise their own judgment and due diligence before engaging any Professional.

8. User Conduct / Prohibited Uses

Users shall not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Algerian law.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent their identity, credentials, qualifications, or affiliation.
  • Copy, scrape, harvest, or extract data or Content from the Platform by automated means, including bots, crawlers, or scrapers, without prior written authorization.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying structure of the Platform.
  • Reproduce, duplicate, clone, or create a substantially similar platform, product, or service using AlJusernet’s protected Content, database structure, design, software, or proprietary features without authorization.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Platform.
  • Use the Platform to solicit Users off-platform for the purpose of avoiding applicable fees or commissions, where such fees or commissions apply.
  • Upload malicious code or engage in any activity that could damage, disable, overload, or impair the Platform or interfere with its operation.
  • Use the Platform to submit fraudulent, unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or misleading Content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or data belonging to AlJusernet or other Users.

AlJusernet reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and, where appropriate, to pursue available civil, criminal, or administrative remedies.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

9.1

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including its name, logo, trademarks, source code, software architecture, database structure, user interface, design, original text, graphics, AI-assisted features, documentation, and other original materials (collectively, the “AlJusernet IP”), belong to AlJusernet or its applicable licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and international agreements to which Algeria is a party.

9.2

No provision of these Terms grants any User a license, right, or interest in the AlJusernet IP beyond a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Platform for its intended purposes.

9.3

Unless expressly authorized in writing by AlJusernet, Users shall not:

  • reproduce, copy, publish, distribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit the AlJusernet IP;
  • copy or reproduce the AlJusernet name, logo, trademarks, visual identity, or other branding elements;
  • reproduce or substantially imitate the Platform’s user interface, layout, visual design, graphics, or distinctive presentation;
  • copy, extract, reproduce, or commercially exploit the Platform’s database or database structure;
  • reproduce, modify, translate, distribute, or create derivative works from protected AlJusernet Content; or
  • use the AlJusernet name, logo, trademarks, or branding in a manner that suggests affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or authorization without AlJusernet’s prior written permission.

Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, public communication, adaptation, translation, modification, or exploitation of protected AlJusernet IP, in whole or in part, is prohibited and may constitute an infringement under applicable law.

9.4

AlJusernet reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against unauthorized copying, reproduction, distribution, or other infringement of its intellectual-property rights.

9.5

Users and Professionals acknowledge that feedback, suggestions, or feature ideas voluntarily submitted to AlJusernet may be used by AlJusernet without compensation or attribution, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9.6

All courses, video lessons, PDF documents, written materials, presentations, quizzes, exercises, templates, graphics, illustrations, and other educational or pedagogical materials made available through the AlJusernet Educational Hub (collectively, the “Training Content”) are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Access to the Training Content is granted solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, unless otherwise expressly authorized in writing by AlJusernet.

Without prior written authorization from AlJusernet, Users shall not:

  • copy, reproduce, download, record, or otherwise duplicate the Training Content, except where such copying is technically necessary for authorized personal use;

  • redistribute, publish, upload, transmit, or share the Training Content with third parties;

  • resell, sublicense, commercially exploit, or make the Training Content available to others;

  • publicly post or reproduce Training Content on websites, social-media platforms, messaging services, or other platforms;

  • modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from the Training Content; or

  • share, transfer, or provide access to an account or subscription for the purpose of allowing unauthorized persons to access the Training Content.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or commercial exploitation of the Training Content may constitute an infringement of AlJusernet’s intellectual-property rights and may result in suspension or termination of access and/or appropriate legal action.

10. User-Generated Content

Users retain ownership of Content they submit to the Platform, including profile information, reviews, documents, and other materials, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.

By submitting Content, Users grant AlJusernet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute such Content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, and promote the Platform.

Users represent and warrant that they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit such Content and that their Content does not unlawfully infringe the rights of any third party.

11. Confidentiality and Non-Circumvention

Where applicable fees or commissions apply, Professionals and Clients agree not to knowingly use information obtained through the Platform to circumvent AlJusernet for the purpose of completing transactions directly and avoiding applicable fees or commissions.

This restriction applies for a period of twelve (12) months following an introduction made through the Platform, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Confidential business information disclosed by AlJusernet to Professionals, including non-public pricing models, internal processes, or business information, must not be disclosed to third parties without authorization.

12. Fees and Payments

Where applicable, fees for bookings, subscriptions, or premium features will be clearly disclosed to Users before purchase.

Unless otherwise indicated, fees are stated in Algerian Dinar (DZD).

Refunds, cancellations, and applicable payment conditions will be communicated before or at the time of purchase and will be subject to applicable law and any specific terms presented for the relevant service.

Payments may be made through payment methods made available on the Platform from time to time.

Where third-party payment providers are used, payments may be processed directly by those providers, which may apply their own terms, fees, security measures, and currency-conversion rates.

AlJusernet is not responsible for charges, delays, conversion rates, or other costs imposed by a third-party payment provider or a User’s bank, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Data Security

AlJusernet takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the Platform against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.

However, no online platform or method of electronic transmission can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge the inherent risks associated with transmitting information over the internet.

The processing and protection of personal data are further described in AlJusernet’s Privacy Policy.

AlJusernet processes personal data in accordance with applicable Algerian legislation on the protection of personal data, including Law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018, as amended and supplemented by applicable legislation, including Law No. 25-11 of 24 July 2025.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AlJusernet shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable damages, or for losses arising from:

  • the acts or omissions of independent Professionals;
  • reliance on information or AI-generated content provided through the Platform;
  • interruptions, delays, or unavailability of the Platform;
  • unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond AlJusernet’s reasonable control; or
  • the User’s misuse of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless AlJusernet, its founders, officers, affiliates, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:

  • their breach of these Terms;
  • their unlawful or unauthorized use of the Platform;
  • their violation of the rights of another person; or
  • Content they submit to the Platform.

16. Suspension and Termination

AlJusernet may suspend or terminate a User’s access to the Platform, with or without prior notice where permitted by law, in cases including suspected fraud, intellectual-property infringement, breach of these Terms, unauthorized use, security risks, or conduct that may harm the Platform or its Users.

Where appropriate, AlJusernet may also remove or restrict access to Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Termination or suspension does not affect rights or obligations that arose before the termination date or provisions that by their nature should continue to apply.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall, subject to any mandatory jurisdictional rules applicable to the User or the dispute, be submitted to the competent courts of Béjaïa, Algeria.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

18. Modifications

AlJusernet may amend or update these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are material, AlJusernet will make reasonable efforts to notify Users through the Platform or other appropriate means.

The updated version will indicate its effective or update date. Continued use of the Platform after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a competent authority or court, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, where possible.

The remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
